Have you ever felt lost, like you’re trying to be everything for everyone else and forgot who you are?

I’ve been there too.

There were many moments when I felt disconnected from my body. Especially during moments of anxiety and postnatal depression. Life can feel loud, demanding, and chaotic, and finding clarity is hard.

Through it all, yoga became my anchor. Over the past 26 years, through building a career, raising a family, and navigating life’s ups and downs, yoga has helped me pause, breathe, and reset.

In the early days, I followed yoga tutorials on VHS tapes. Then started attending classes, but I noticed something was missing. The classes focused on perfect poses and appearances rather than the connection between body, mind, and breath.

That’s when I realised the heart of yoga isn’t about how it looks. It’s about how it feels. It’s about building inner strength, resilience, and finding stillness, even when life around you feels out of control.

During the COVID lockdowns, I saw just how much people needed yoga to feel grounded and connected. I began teaching online to family and friends, sharing the practice that had carried me through so many challenges.

In 2022, I became a qualified yoga teacher. I started guiding classes both online and in person, including quarterly day retreats to help others reconnect with themselves.

And from these experiences, BAscending was born. A yoga community, where anyone can find their anchor, reconnect with their body, mind, and soul, and move through life with greater ease, presence, and inner strength.
